Abstract

The HBP-NH2 grafted oxidized cotton fabrics(HGCF)were prepared by the reaction of cotton fabrics oxidized with sodium periodate and water-soluble amino-terminated hyperbranched polymer(HBP-NH2)as a grafting agent in aqueous solution. The influence factors, which may affect the dyeing behavior of the HBP-NH2 grafted oxidized cotton fabrics in salt-free reactive dyeing, such as the aldehyde content of oxidized cotton fabrics, concentration of HBP-NH2 aqueous solution,pH value, reaction temperature and time were discussed. As a result, prepared under the optimum condition, the aldehyde content of oxidized cotton fabrics about 8mmol/g,HBP-NH2 10g/L,pH value 7.0~8.0,60°C for 5 min and then rinsed with tap water, the HBP-NH2 grafted oxidized cotton fabrics showed satisfied dyeing properties when dyed with reactive dyes without salt.
