Abstract
The creation of Ye Shuxian's mythology is embodied in three aspects:first,his interpretation and reconstruction of mythological archetypes and his expansion of mythological archetypes from literature into culture out of need to reconstruct local culture;second,he emphasized shaping function of in course of human by borrowing concept of myth history of new historiography and then advocating concept of mythical China with local cultural features;third,in order to explore dynamic origin of Chinese civilization,his creatively putting forward concept of myths to establish the jade cultural community from pre-historical period to today.How enter into is core of above three aspects which reflect Ye Shuxian's concept of great myth,namely,liberating myth from literature and restoring its nature as cultural gene and cultural code.
