Abstract
637 individuals of one-year-old long tail Ryukin were collected for measuring the morphometric attributes, including the body weigh, body length, body height, head length, tail handle length, tail handle height, pectoral fin length, ventral fin length, dorsal fin height, anal fin length and caudal fin length. The correlation coefficients among the attributes were calculated, and then path analysis was conducted by taking the caudal fin length as a dependent variable, and other ten morphometric attributes as independent variables. The results showed that the tail handle height had the most influnce to the caudal fin length;the pectoral fin length and the tail handle length followed. The multiple regression equation relating the caudal fin length was established as y=-2.573+4.2x1+0.647x2+2.41x3,where y is caudal fin length,x1,x2,x3 is the tail handle height, pectoral fin length, and tail handle length, respectively.
