Abstract

[Objective] The study aimed to investigate the grain filling characteristics of Mianyang 26 and its sister lines under field soil drought condition.[Method] Under the water stress, the grain filling processes of ten dominant winter wheat varieties of Mianyang 26 and its sister lines were modeled with Logistic equation and a series of inferior parameters were conducted. The relationship between grain filling parameters and grain weights was analyzed using correlation, stepwise regression and path coefficient analysis.[Result] The mean grain filling time of winter wheat was shortened under drought condition. Grain filling rate affected grain weight significantly, but grain filling duration was not related to the grain weight significantly. The stepwise regression and path coefficient analysis results indicated that the grain filling duration could affect the grain filling by affecting the grain filling rate.[Conclusion] The wheat of Mianyang 26 and its sister lines could reach a high 1 000-grain filling weight under field continuous drought stress.
