Abstract

Taking finite element software ANSYS as a platform and aimed at engineering complexity of foundation pit,a deformation analysis program was developed as its secondary development by using APDL,that would be fit to foundation excavation and supporting structure in loess areas. Then the excavation and support deformation were analyzed for deep foundation pit and its stability was checked,so that the lateral displacement of pit wall, ground deformation around the pit,and basement swell were obtained for the deep foundation pit.The stability of pit slope was checked with the technique of finite element strength reduction. It was shown by computation result that the finite element method of ANSYS would be an effective assessment tool for designing and constructing the deep foundation pit and the introduction of finite element strength reduction technique into engineering of deep foundation pit would be an effective and new way.
