Abstract

The hardness and microstructure of 50SiMnVB steel under normalizing,normalizing-quenching-tempering,quenching and tempering were analyzed.Three groups of bigger hardness difference selected from five sample groups. They were respectively normalized 50SiMnVB alloy steel and 50SiMnVB alloy steel tempered at 200 ℃ and 600 ℃.The quasi-static compression experiment of three kinds of heat treatment state 50SiMnVB steel was done when the strain rate is 10-3 s-1 and 10-1 s-1.The 50SiMnVB alloy steel is sensitive to the strain rate. The results indicate that the yield strength of 50SiMnVB alloy steel tempered at 200 ℃ is higher than the other two but its destruction form is cutting rupture at 45°,so it is more brittle than the other two.The yield strenth of normalized 50SiMnVB alloy steel is the lowest in them but the plasticity is the best among them. The yield strength and the plasticity of 50SiMnVB alloy steel tempered at 600 ℃ both are in the middle.
