Abstract

Ten meristic characters and eleven morphometric characters were analyzed by the cluster analysis, one-way ANOVA and principle component analysis to study the relationship of three D.maculates populations from Yili River, Taxkorgan River and Toxkon River. The cluster analysis of meristic characters showed that Taxkorgan River population and Toxkon River population joined together first, then assembled with Yili River population.One-way ANOVA analysis and multiple comparison of morphometric characters showed that there were six and eight differences between Yili River population and the other two populations respectively, which were bigger than the four differences between the other two populations. The principle component analysis of all characters showed that the divergences of three populations existed in component one, Among of the relayionghip of Taxkorgan River population and Toxkon River population was close, the relationship of Yili River and the other two populations was far.In summary, there had been morphological divergence between the D.maculates in Yili River and Tarim River water system.
