Abstract
Continuous extrusion can be used for extrusion of AZ31 magnesium alloy,deformation conditions are the key factors for continuous extrusion forming of AZ31 magnesium alloys.The continuous extrusion process on the 250 continual extruder to produce 7 mm rod of the AZ31 magnesium alloy was simulated by using DEFORM as FEM software,and the rigid viscid plastic finite element model of the process were established.The distribution of temperature,effective strain and stress for deformation process were analyzed.The maximum value of effective stress appears below the coining roll.The maximum value of temperature appears in the cavity.The maximum value of effective strain appears in the entrance of the die.The simulation results are useful for process control and die structure.
