Abstract
Study of yellow camellias in the cultivation and breeding at home and abroad has made great progress since the first yellow camellia (Camellia flava (Pit.) Sealy) was found in 1910.The research advances are reviewed in germplasm,breeding.cultivation and application.The germplasm of yellow camellias are stated that mainly are sect.Chrysantha Chang,Camellia luleoflora,Camellia octopetala,Camellia xanthochroma,Camellia amplexifolia,Camellia paucipanctata,Camellia gracilipes,Camellia fleuryi et al from Camellia L,and a Tutcheria championi from Tutcheria Dunn.The cross-breeds with genetic factor of Camellia nitidissima are also stated in this paper,they are Camellia'Golden Glow'and Camellia'Honeymoon'from America,Camellia'Xin Huang',Camellia'Jin Bei Dan Xin',and Camellia'Dong Mei Ying Chun'et al from China.
