Abstract

The dual infections of reticuloendotheliosis virus (REV) and chicken infectious anemia virus (CAV) was detected in the high percentage of birds in two chicken flocks with severe immunodepressive syndroms. The REV viremia in the most tested birds (4/4 and 2/4) indicated the early REV infection happened in the flocks and was the primary reason responsible for the immunodepression of the flocks.
