Abstract
Acute respiratory distress syndrome(ARDS) is the most critical disease and seriously endangers people's lives in intensive care unit(ICU).Mechanical ventilation is one of the most important methods to treat ARDS.Meanwhile, there are a lot of mechanical ventilation modes to be chosen. The more pathophysiological features of ARDS and ventilation associated lung injury have been known in recent years, the more lung protection strategies of mechanical ventilation have been using. This paper reviews the progress of mechanical ventilation.
