Abstract

The fluidization quality has been found to depend primarily on the operating behaviors of the distributor in a fluidized bed. Analysis has been made on the stability of the fluid-bed distributor, and a critical value for the aperture ratio of distributor has been obtained. In addition, an experimental measurement has been conducted on gas-solid heat transfer in a fluidized bed by using the thermal response technique so as to investigate the effect of the stability of the distributor on gas-solid heat transfer in a fluidized bed.
