Abstract
Programmability in I-DEAS software makes CAD/CAM flexibly.This paper introduces the 3D parametric design method based on I-DEAS.An example of gear is used to show the skill of developing I-DEAS by means of the developing module of Program.The parametric design is verified and the design efficiency is also considerably improved.It is great useful for the secondary development of I-DEAS and the popularization of parts standard technology.
