Therapeutic effects of tympanostomy tube emplacement in the treatments of 65 cases of otitis media with effusion

Objective To explore the effectiveness of grommet insertion in the treatments of secretoryotitis media.Methods Do retrospective analysis of clinical history data of 65 patients with otitis media with effusion who adopted grommet insertion treatment.Analyzed the clinical manifestations and treatment effects of grommet insertion treatment.Results Grommet insertion treatment had good effect,with total effective rate of 97.4%.Two patients who treated with no effect,was due to eardrum thin,take off the tube for excessive invagination and otitismediasuppurative for influenza without effectively controlled.Conclusion Tympanostomy tube emplacement on otitis media with effusion is safe,convenient,clear vision,strong practicability etc,and is the effective method to treat secretory otitis media.
