Abstract

A simulation system of cold strip rolling has been developed on the bases of a large commercial FEM software Variation of three dimensional deformation of strip under different forth and back tension can be obtained The results show that enhanced tension restricts lateral flow, enhances deformation in thickness direction, makes outgo thickness more uniform The influence is the largest when changing forth and back tension simultaneously
