Abstract

This paper Illustrates lock-based,optimistic and speculative concurrency control protocol, and presents a comparative evaluation of following protocol: 2PL-PA as a representative of PCC-based protocol, OCC-BC and WAIT-50 as representative of OCC-based protocols, SCC-2S and SCC-kS as representative of SCC-based protocols. This paper describes the real-time database model, the workload model, the performance metrics and the parameters used in the baseline model, and draws conclusions regarding the impact of data contention, resource contention, deadline tightness.
