The Change of New China Village Sports in 60 Years

Abstract

According to the distinctive features of China village sports in the different historical periods since the 60 years from the Founding of the People's Republic of China,the article divided China village sports in this period into three stages——the early age of the Founding of the People's Republic of China,the age of the Culture Revolution and the Reform and Opening Era.Through the study of the national policies,the living conditions for farmers and their physical activities,as well as their sports awareness in different periods,the article presented a vivid picture of China village sports in the 60 years.Also,the article pointed out that the state power was the dominant force to the change of the village sports and the development of village sports needed to take the characteristics of the village sports into consideration.
