Abstract
Objective To make a full understanding of the various manifestations of viral encephalitis on clinic and imagery data,and improve its diagnostic accuracy. Methods CT was porformed in 12 cases,MRI in 2 cases,both CT and MRI in 6 cases, and enhanced CT or MRI in 12 cases. Results The lesions prescuted mainly as low density on CT scan and mostly located in front lobe, temporal lobe. Cortices, subcortical and periventricular white matter,usually multipled. It had obvious mass effects when the lesion was larger in one side. The lesion carried long T 1 and long T 2 on MRI.Compare with the patient underwent both CT and MRI, MRI was superior to CT. The lesion mainly showed slight enhancement on contrasted scans.Conclusion The close connection of manifestations on CT,MRI with clinc, can provide important information for clinical diagnosis of viral encephalitis.
