Abstract
With the research of the relationship between culture and language teaching deepening,people have realized the necessity of culture input in language teaching.This article puts forward developing culture input for different levels of culture to achieve culture awareness of the target language in English teaching for non-English majors.The teaching content includes background information about different fields,related concepts and beliefs,and cultural connotations of words.Teachers should design a series of activities to make culture input become an integrate part of English teaching.Language teaching not only cultivates students' linguistic competence but also their communicative competence which is closely related to culture.
