Abstract
AIM: To investigate the clinical effect of minimally invasive percutaneous nephrolithotomy(MPCNL)on the patients with upper urinary tract calculus.METHODS: The 105 cases were randomly divided into 2 groups;one group received MPCNL(n=491),and another received invasive percutaneous nephrolithotomy(PCNL,n=56).RESULTS: Calculous clearance rate in first operation of MPCNL group was 93.3%,and it was higher than that(80.4%) of PCNL(P=0.042).Time course of MPCNL was longer than that of PCNL(P=0.000).And accumulative total complication incidence in MPCNL group was 12.2%,lower than that(28.6%) of PCNL(P=0.040).CONCLUSION: MPCNL possesses merits including minor damage,fewer complications,higher calculous clearance rate,less suffering and rapider recovery.So it is worth further generalizing.
