Climate Characteristics and Change of Extreme Temperature in Benxi County

Abstract
Based on the extreme highest temperature and the lowest temperature data of Meteorological Bureau in Benxi County from 1958 to 2010,the climatic characteristics and change are analyzed.The result shows that the annual extreme highest temperature is 37.8 ℃ and the annual extreme lowest temperature is-37.9 ℃;the annual,monthly extreme temperature trend is increased,the climatic tendency rate of annual extreme highest temperature and annual extreme lowest temperature are 0.39 and 2.16 ℃/10 a,respectively.The annual extreme highest temperature occurs during May-August.The annual extreme lowest temperature occurs during December-February.Before 1980,the annual range of extreme temperature increased 2.6 ℃;after 1981,the annual range of extreme temperature has reduced 2.0 ℃.The extreme lowest temperature and annual range of extreme temperature have changed suddenly in 1973.
