Abstract
Solar coronal mass ejections as the main sources of the distrubences in solar-terrestrial system have been studied for more than 20 years since its first time to be observed in space by space crafts in 1970s From the point of view of space weather,the progress of the study of coronal mass ejections (CME) is reviewed in this paper In the first section,the main parameters and morphology of CMEs are introduced Then, the possible relationship of CMEs with other solar activities is given in the second part While the geoeffectness of CMEs is described in the third section A discussion on problems of CMEs itself and of CMEs in space weather is made,fannally,in our review
