Abstract
Objectives:To investigate the change characteristic of electroneurophysiology on diabetic peripheral neuropathy.Methods:Motor nerve conduction velocity on common peroneal nerve and median nerve were tested in 58 patients with NIDDM and 25 healthy controls.And complex muscular action potentials excited by stimulation were also analyzed.Results:MCV slowing,DPL delaying,amplitude depressing and time limit prolonging were found in patients with NIDDM,which were significant difference in comparing to those of healthy controls.Conclusions:Measuring and analyzing motor nerve conduction velocity and complex muscular action potential on common peroneal nerve and median nerve might be useful to realize the characteristic of electroneurophysiological change on diabetic peripheral neuropathy and diagnose early DPN.
