Abstract
The combining ability of ten main agronomic traits of 60 F1 generations from incomplete diallel cross between 16 maize inbred lines was analyzed to provide references for improvement of maize germplasm, utilization of maize inbred lines and selection of superiority combinations. The results showed that Jiao 51 and 5311 inbred lines with higher general combining ability of ear and yield traits were of higher utilizable value.Z0619 inbred line with better yield trait could be utilized in improvement of inbred lines with good ear trait.4011,80c-1,Andan 3 and Su 11 inbred lines with the poor comprehensive traits should be improved for further utilization.Other inbred lines could be utilized according to different breeding objects in maize breeding.
