Abstract
Automated auction's idea is using an agent mechanism to help people controlling the process of auction.According to the fundamental theory of staged second-price sealed-bid auction, this paper designed an automated auction protocol based on multi-agent theory, and the architecture of auction system based on mobile agent technology, brought forward three kinds of auction strategy model. Then, mobile agent development platform-aglet was used to develop a simulation automated auction system, which could simulate the process and the strategies of on-line auction. Finally, results of the simulation were analyzed in detail. The success of the simulation system testified the feasibility of automated auction on-line,and provided a simulation platform for further research in strategies and protocol related to automated auction.
