Comparison of Level of HBsAg and HBV DNA in Different Clinical Types of Chronic Hepatitis B

Objective To Comparison of level of HBsAg and HBV DNA in different clinical types of chronic hepatitis B.Methods Peripheral blood was collected from 91 patients with chronic hepatitis B.The HBsAg and HBV DNA in the sera of patients with chronic hepatitis B were tested by ELISA and PCR techniques respectively.The index numbers of HBV DNA were changed into constants by logarithm.Results The level of HBsAg and HBV DNA in different clinical types of chronic hepatitis B showed significant difference(P0.05),The significance and the 95% confidence interval were 0.334,-85.05 to 29.20 and 0.510,0.59 to 1.17,respectively,with no significant difference in comparison of HBsAg and HBV DNA level between the severe hepatitis B and the cirrhosis groups.There was significant difference in the comparison of HBsAg and HBV DNA level between the severe hepatitis and chronic hepatitis B groups,and the significance and the 95% confidence interval were 0.000,163.21to -56.40,and 0.020,-1.81 to -0.16,respectively.There was significant difference in comparison of HBsAg and HBV DNA level between the cirrhosis and chronic hepatitis B groups,and the significance and the 95% confidence interval were 0.006,-139.76 to -24.00 and 0.005,-2.17 to -0.39,respectively.Conclusion The mean difference of HBsAg and HBV DNA level in chronic hepatitis B group is higher than those of cirrhosis group,the mean difference of HBsAg and HBV DNA level in cirrhosis group is higher than those of severe hepatitis B.The clinical types of chronic hepatitis B might affect the HBsAg and HBV DNA level.
