Abstract

Biography of Zhuang Zi fully embodied Si Maqian′s thought of literature and art,which,to certain extent,fully reflects Si Maqian′s overall thought of literature and art,playing an important role in criticism on works and authors in Historical Records(Shiji) and shining with a great value.In Biography of Zhuang Zi,Si Maqian has set up the spirit and personal image of Zhuang Zi′s superb freedom.Simutaneously he has established the academic origins between Lao Zi and Zhuang Zi as well as the academic and cultural links between Historical Records and Zhuang Zi.
