Abstract

[Objective]To study the application of multislice computed tomography angiography(MSCTA)on the intracranial aneurysms' diagnosis.[Methods]The multiplane reformation images, volume rendering and maximum intensity projection images of MSCTA of 58 intracranial aneurysms patients were evaluated retrospectively. The diagnostic accuracy of MSCTA in the detection of intracranial aneurysms was evaluated using the results of craniotomy and embolotherapy as gold standard.[Results]In 58 patients,67 aneurysms were detected by MSCTA.There were 87.93% single aneurysm(51/58 cases)and 12.07%(7/58 cases)multi-aneurysm.Compared with the results of craniotomy and DSA method, the agreement rate of MSCTA were 96.88%(31/32 cases),98.27%(57/58 cases)respectively,in addition, the sensitivity and accuracy of MSCTA were 96.97% and 97.01%,respectively,compared with the gold standard.[Conclusion]MSCTA provides enough anatomical information for treatment, appears as a fast,non-invasive and accurate examination, that can be used as an optimal and routine examination way of intracranial aneurysm.
