Abstract
Objective To discuss the effect of acupuncture and moxbustion pretreatment on GSK-3β PP2A,so to research the mechanism in treating and preventing AD disease. Methods To establish the AD model. All rats were divided into six groups at random: sham group, model group, moxibustion group,electro-acupuncture groups,electro-acupuncture and moxibustion group,ELISA method was used to detect the activity of PP2A and GSK-3β. Results The activity of GSK-3β in model group was increased significantly as compare to normal group(P0.01),but the activity of PP2A was decreased obviously.Electro-acupuncture and moxibustion could adjust those changes. Conclusion The adjusting mechanism of acupuncture to prevent and cure dementia is likely to regulatre the Wnt signal transduction pathways and affect the relevant enzyme expression of learning and memory in hippocampus.
