Research on the Relationship between the Overseas Students Studying Sports and the Development of Modern Sports Competition System in China

Using the research methods of literature review,logical analysis and so on,the paper makes a comprehensive analysis on 115Chinese overseas students studying sports during the end of Qing Dynasty and the Liberation of China in 1949,so as to summarize the role they played in the evolution process of China's modern sports competition system,to reveal the exploration and localization of western sports in China,and to provide reference for the development of modern sports in China.The results show that the contribution of the overseas students studying sports to the development of China's modern sports competition system mainly include:the establishment of sports groups and Chinese sports competition organizations,the organization of early sports games and the 3-level(local,regional and national)athletic competition system,as well as the participation in international sports competitions and the integration into the world sports games.
