Abstract

During the founding of the Chinese Communist Party,Li Da was very concerned with women's issues and women's movement in China while he was actively participating in setting up the Party.Apart from taking charge of schools for women and the publication of Voice of Women,he also translated foreign works on women's movement,introducing women's movements in the West.He discussed Marxist theory of women's liberation widely while linking it to the Chinese realities at the time.He adopted a Marxist approach to women's issues and women's movement in China and actively explored a path leading to women's liberation in China.Li Da's contribution to women's movement during the founding of the Chinese Communist Party has played an important role not only in the founding of the Party but also in the women's liberation movements in China.
