Abstract
Inhibiting effect of silica sol to Fe~(3+) in peroxide bleaching solution is researched.It is found that silica sol can effectively prevent catalytic degradation of peroxide hydrogen by 7.5mg/L Fe~(3+) in control bleaching solution;in one bath desizing-scouring-bleaching process of cotton fabric,inhibiting result of silica sol to 3 mg/L Fe~(3+) is superior to other stabilizers.Silica sol has better effect aided with Ca~(2+) in hard water.As a stabilizer,silica sol can impart the fabric better mechanical properties than the others.
