Abstract

Poetry and prose translation enjoys a high status in literary translation.The complete reproduction of artistic conception is the key to the success of poetry and prose translation.Confined by differences between Chinese and western cultures in the E-C and C-E poetry and prose translation,translators should fully understand the historical background and analyze the structure,grammar as well as rhetoric to help translator experience the author's way of thinking and inward world effectively so that they can achieve equivalence in the target text.
