Abstract
The paper had a numerical simulation on the development of the overburden three zones in Yushuwan Mine. The simulation results showed that during the mining operation with thick overburden and low depth, due to the increasing of the base rock thickness and the soil layer thickness in overburden, the ground pressure of the coal mining face did not show the three zones combined one phenomenon in the total thickness of the overburden on the seam. From the analysis on the three zones development law of the base rock, the water conducted fissures could not pass through the water proof layer.A 5 m top slicing mining can reach the mining target of water keeping.
