Abstract

Objective:To explore the value of MRI and MRV in the diagnosis of cranial venous sinus thrombosis(CVST).Methods:MRI and MRV data of 13 cases with CVST proved by clinical followed-up were collected and analyzed. Results:The disappearance of flow-viod sign of the venous sinus can be seen on plain MRI.Empty triangle sign was shown on the postcontrast images. The felling defect was found on MRV.Conclusion:MRI combined with MRV are the most effective techniques for the diagnosis of CVST.
