Strategic plan and current situation analysis of public transit in Xi′an City

Based on the traffic investigation, the residential trip structures, features of bus lines network and public transit passenger tripping in Xi'an City are analyzed with method of mathematical statistics. The developing strategic measures and plan of public transit are proposed. It is pointed out that the public transportation system in Xi'an City should be developed by taking urban railway transportation as skeleton, normal public transportation as body, other transportation as additional. The main road and the branches should be combined to form the multi-player and multi-level system.
