Abstract

Design history in traditional 3D modelling system can not be well maintained. In order to address this problem, this paper presents that naming topological entities which is formed by sweeping profiles can be implemented based on naming those elements in the profile contained in a sketch, because so many form features in it are generated by sweeping profiles. After analyzing the relationship between sketch and profile - based feature, this paper proposes a topological adjacency based mechanism for naming sketch elements and researches on the revision, rules and consistency related to naming sketch elements.
