Abstract

Reduction is a common way of psychology research,which is materialized in each school of the positivism,including elementary reductionism,biologic reductionism and mechanical reductionism.The article expatiates different theories on reductionism in several schools which persist in and trust positivism.Moreover,it reviews the station and effect on reductionism in the development history of psychology and evaluates its virtues and defects.
