Present situation on the theoretical research of axiom design

The axiom designing theory provided a guiding frame for the exploitation process of product design,and could instruct the designer to make correct decisions during the designing course.The background of study,development and basic theory were briefly stated in this paper.Hereon this base,a summery and analysis have been carried out on the researching hot-spot of axiom design.A commentary was carried out mainly on three aspects from the extension of axiom design,the relationship and integration of axiom design with other designing theory and method,the calculation method of information content and decision-making method based on information axiom evaluation.And a discussion was made on the strong point of axiom design and its existing problems.
