Clinical analysis of Tongqiao Huoxue Decoction in the Treatment of Sudden Deafness

Abstract
Objective To investigate the clinical effect of Tongqiao Huoxue decoction in the treatment of sudden deafness. Methods 83 cases of patients with sudden deafness from September 2014 to August 2015 were randomly divided into observation group of 42 cases and control group of 41 cases. The observation group adopt Tongqiao Huoxue decoction. The control group was treated by conventional Western medicine. The therapeutic effect of the two groups was compared. Results The cure rate and the total effective rate of the observation group was 76.19% and 97.62%, respectively. The cure rate and the total effective rate of the control group was 56.10 % and82.93%, respectively. The differences between the two groups were statistically significant( P 0.05). Conclusion The modified Tongqiao Huoxue decoction in the treatment of sudden deafness has definite clinical effect, and has higher cure rate. It is worthy of clini-cal promotion and application.
