Effects of Combined Probiotics Supplemental Diets to Production Performance and Intestinal Flora in Laying Hens

Abstract

This experiment was conducted to evaluate the effects of combined probiotics supplementation on production performance and intestinal flora of laying hens.Nine hundred Hailan brown laying hens were random assigned to 3 dietary treatments with 3 replicates.These laying hens received the same basal diet supplemented with 0,3%,5% combined probiotics-supplementation,respectively.Results showed as follows: the treatments with 3% and 5% combined probiotics-supplementation significantly increased average egg weight by 0.53,0.91g(P0.05),while significantly increased laying rate by 1.72% and 1.89%(P0.05),respectively;the treatments with 3% and 5% combined probiotics-supplementation decreased the percentages of broken and soft-shell eggs by 13.79% and 17.24%,decreased feed-egg ration by 0.03 and 0.05,increased lactic acid bacteria counts by 6.26% and 6.52%,and decreased colon bacillus counts by 4.79% and 6.18%,respectively.In conclusion,these data indicated that combined probiotics-supplementation could enhance production performance and improve intestinal flora of laying hens.
