Abstract
With steam as gastification agent, the present paper investigates the reactivity and kinetics of six kinds of typical Chinese anthracite chars gasification with steam by means of thermogravimetric analysis at any temperature between 920~(1 050) ℃.The results show that the reactivity has a good correlation with the anthracite volatile yield, i.e. the higher the anthracite volatile yield is, the higher the reactivity is. The experimental results could be well described with the shrinking core model. The values of activation energies fall in the range of 213~250 kJ/mol.The values of activation energy (E_a) and pre-exponential factor (A) demonstrate a compensation effect.
