Abstract
High temperature is one of the main stresses on yield and quality in rice. The global warming and frequent occurrence of extreme high temperature have become a great challenge on rice production.Identification of genes associated with heat tolerance in rice and performing molecular breeding for heat tolerance is the most effective way to address this issue. In this paper,we reviewed the progress on the identification of QTL for heat tolerance in rice and discussed some issues relevant to this topic.
