Abstract
Objective To investigate the diagnostic value of CT angiography(CTA) in cerebral venous malformation(CVM). Methods Fifteen CVM patients underwent 128 slice spiral CT angiography, and their imaging features were analyzed. Results All cases showed solitary CVM, and the lesions were located in left parietal lobe(6 cases), right parietal lobe(3), left cerebellar hemisphere(3), right cerebellar hemisphere(2), and pons(1). In addition, dural arteriovenous fistula of the anterior cranial base or intracranial aneurysm of the internal carotid artery was observed in two cases. CTA imaging showed multiple medullary veins importing into gross draining veins, and the typical characteristics included caput medusasor tree rootappearance. Conclusion CTA can reveal the characteristic findings of CVM and associated lesions, which is valuable in the diagnosis of CVM.
