Abstract
There is an error existing between measured muzzle velocity and actual muzzle velocity, which affects the fire accuracy of artillery. It is of great importance to measure the muzzle velocity of projectile accurately, and to analyze the factors which influence the accuracy. This paper made use of coil target principle and measured the displacements of barrel recoil by laser CCD displacement transducer.By the analysis of the measured results,it could be known that the error caused by displacement of barrel recoil was the primary cause which effected coil target's error. On the basis of measured data of barrel recoil, the muzzle velocity was revised by the muzzle velocity measurement correction system. The exactness and feasibility of this correction method was proved by analyzing the experimental data.
