On the Role of Government in the Development and Structure Adjustment of Agriculture

In market economy,the primary reason for government to promote the adjustment of agriculture structure is market failure.However,in the practices of our different grades of government,there are still traces of planned economy.These practices contradict with the requirements of market economy,hamper the market mechanism and are not the normal practices of countries with market economy.In market economy,the government's function in adjusting agricultural structure is to supply public goods,use different policies to direct structure adjustment and exploit market for agricultural goods,etc.
