Abstract

Objective To evaluate M-spiral CT angiography(MSCTA) in the screening of cerebral artery aneurysms. Methods MSCTA was performed in 18 patients with cerebral artery aneurysms,17 cases were examined by digital subtraction angiography(DSA),18 cases underwent surgery.MSCTA images were reconstruct by using maximum intensity projection(MIP) and volume reconstruction(VR).The result were compared with DSA and operation. Results One case was examined by MSCTA and proved by operation.in the 17 patients 18 cerebral artery aneurysms were detected by MSCTA,18 aneurysms by DSA,19 aneurysms proved by operation.MSCTA and DSA has lost 1 aneurysm each other.cerebral artery aneurysm's site、shape and the relation with the other arters were very clear in MSCTA.The true positive diagnosis of aneurysms using MSCTA was 95%.Conclusion MSCTA can not only diagnose cerebral artery aneurysms accurately but also can show the relation with the aneurysm and arterys around, has high directive value in clinical trial.
