Abstract
As historical existence,humanistic spirit has different emphasis in different eras.The contemporary humanistic spirit should not reject the humanistic spirit of the past,but it has to be characterized by its time.At the present,Chinese universities attach little importance to humanistic education,which leads to the erosion of humanistic spirit.Admittedly,this phenomenon is partly related to the rapid change of the society,but the university absolutely has more to perform.For universities,it is a unceasing spiritual pursuit.As a matter of fact,this is the mission of universities.
