Abstract
Detecting skin irritation was undertaken using four different types of equipments,i.e.Tewameter TM210,Minolta Chromameter,Skicon-200 and Corneometer CM820,and sensitivity of detecting skin irritation,in especially for invisible irritation was compared among these equipments.The results showed that Tewameter is more sensitive than other equipments for measurement of low-level irritation. TEWL(transepidermal water loss)can sensitively reflect skin irritation resulted from damage of skin barrier function.
