Poultry and Livestock Farming in Nanhai District: Pollution and Control

Abstract

Pollution of poultry and livestock farming in Nanhai District was analyzed. Results indicated that environment pollution caused by poultry and livestock farming became an important pollution source in Nanhai District, with CODcr and NH3-N emission into water exceeding that of industrial wastewater and less than that of municipal wastewater. The alarm value of soil load of night soil was 1.06 to indicate a great environment pressure. The control measures were proposed to facilitate harmonious development between environment and economy.
